RIM releases BlackBerry App World 3.0 with new design, features

RIM has finally rolled out the full-fledged 3.0 upgrade to its BlackBerry App World weeks after it was made available to the Beta Zone members. The BlackBerry App World 3.0 comes with fresh design and functionality. The Apps, Games and Themes sections now have their own widgets, which will allow users to quickly browse the desired content.
RIM has also added a new feature called “My Account”, which allows users to manage their BlackBerry ID (BBID), the single login for all BlackBerry apps. With the new feature, the users will have direct access to all account information from the home screen.

RIM has also revamped its “My World” feature as it now entails a streamlined view of the apps and their status. The new feature makes it easy for users to oversee their subscription content and services. Users will now receive a notification in case of any update, i.e., if any app has become available, or a subscription is due for renewal.
The BlackBerry App World 3.0 also allows users to directly share the app details via BBM, Facebook, Twitter, email and even SMS. The search option has also been overhauled. The search bar now appears on the storefront home screen. The enhanced search feature enables users to sort search by app name, price, rating, newest, best match, or popularity.
