RIM releases BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 update
RIM has released its long awaited BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 update, and made it available for download. BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 delivers an ‘enhanced tablet experience’ and will allow PlayBook owners to use the tablet ‘in new ways throughout the day - at work and at play.’

"Building on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet's proven web browsing, multimedia and multitasking strengths, the new BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 introduces a range of new communications and productivity enhancements as well as expanded app and content support."
Improvements include a native email client (finally) with a unified inbox, as well as calendar and contacts apps. The PlayBook OS 2.0 also features Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn integration, along with a new BlackBerry Bridge app, featuring improved performance, as well as a remote control function that will allow the smartphone to be used as a wireless keyboard. The most interesting new feature is access to Android apps, those available on BB App World.
Other new features include updated document editing functions, the new Print To Go app, the new BlackBerry Balance, an updated virtual keyboard with auto correction and predictive next word completion. A new BlackBerry Video Store has also been launched. RIM also announced a new BlackBerry Mobile Fusion service, with mobile device management capabilities for iOS and Android devices, due to arrive in late March.
