Instagram Has More Daily Mobile Users Than Twitter According To A Report


Facebook is the worlds most popular social network, in second place is Twitter, and now it would appear that one of Facebook’s recent acquisitions is becoming more popular than Twitter.
According to a recent report by comScore in August Instagram, the popular photo sharing app which was recently purchased by Facebook, had more daily mobile users than Twitter.

According to the report Instagram had an average of 7.3 million users per day on mobile devices compared to an average 6.9 million users on Twitter, and Instagram users spent an average of 257 minutes using the app as opposed to 170 minutes.
In total subscriber number on mobile devices Twitter actually has more users, with 29 million users as opposed to Instagram’s 22 million mobile users, the data was measure across Android, iOS and BlackBerry.

Sony has just announced that they are now rolling out the Android .0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for a number of devices, and the list includes the Sony Xperia Go Xperia U and the Xperia Sola.

Today we’re starting our software rollout for Xperia go, Xperia U and Xperia sola including Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 upgrade and new unique media applications. The rollout will continue over the next few weeks in markets globally.
